Ticket Bank joins forces with Tramlines
25 July 2018
Sheffield’s cherished annual music festival - Tramlines - celebrated its 10th anniversary earlier this summer, marking the occasion by bringing a stellar lineup of stars including Noel Gallager, De La Soul and The Stereophonics to the leafy surroundings of Hillsborough Park.
The Ticket Bank partnered with the organisers in a bid to increase accessibility to the weekend’s festivities - we received a total of 30 donated weekend passes that we then distributed to some incredible local charities and organisations.
The majority of the donated tickets went to beneficiaries of the charities, many of whom would have been unlikely/ unable to attend without this supply of a ‘free’ ticket. Others were used as prizes in fundraising drives. Our supported charities included:
Children with Cancer: working to raise survival rates in young cancer patients. With the aid of two festival passess provided by The Ticket Bank, Children with Cancer were able to fundraise £154.00 via a raffle.
Golddigger Trust: a Sheffield-based charity who work with young people to help build their self-esteem and confidence.
Sheffield Royal Society for the Blind (SRSB): supporting people with sight loss in Sheffield.
Element Society: a local development and advocacy charity who take social action and offer enterprise programmes to young people.
Bluebell Wood: a regional children’s charity who provide care and support for children and young adults with life-shortening and life-threatening conditions, both in their homes and at their hospice in North Anston.
Thanks to Tramlines and all our charity partners for helping us make this initiative happen.
