Attachment and Trauma (in common sense and doodles)
Conway Hall, London
Friday, 22 Mar 2019
9:30am to 12:30pm
An introduction to attachment and the impact of trauma, with Dr Miriam Silver, Consultant Clinical Psychologist, author of Attachment in Common Sense and Doodles.
Dr Silver will use her accessible "doodles" to explain the impact of healthy and unhealthy attachment relationships and experiences of abuse and trauma on the development of a child, with lots of examples to bring the theory to life.
This session would be helpful for anybody working in children's health or social care, particularly those providing or commissioning placements for children in the Care system, foster or adoptive parents, or anyone with an interest in child psychology. This is a session that would be of interest for professionals or carers, and no prior knowledge of the topic is required.
