A key focus for Sheffield Business Together is voluntary sector sustainability and we are proud to host our first skills exchange between sectors in response to skills needs flagged by charities.

We are hosting an afternoon of information stalls, drop-in consultations and mini-masterclasses for the voluntary and community sector to learn more about the skills on offer from Sheffield Business Together members.

We will be hosting 6 masterclasses including:
- How to write a winning bid - SYFAB
- How to publicise your charity using LinkedIn - Mantra Media
- How to recruit the right people - Benchmark Recruit
- Branding and marketing your charity - Darryl Dawson
- The art of PR - Keep your fork
- 3 D Leadership - Andy Hanselman consulting

Johnny - Mantra Media
Johnny is the founder and global managing director of Mantra Media. A seasoned marketing strategist and international agency director, with over 18 years of experience in online marketing.

15.20 - 16.05 Branding and Marketing your charity - Marketing isn’t easy - but in 20 minutes you’ll make it look that way.
Daryl Dawson - Connexions P.R and Marketing
Daryl is a marketeer with an excess of 27 years of passion in marketing. Daryl is an all round communicator and broadcaster (BBC Radio Sheffield for 15 years, Hallam FM 4 years) and local television. He is well published in the Regional, locals and daylies and in the next 40 minutes he is here to make your charity stand out and move from ordinary to extraordinary.

16.10 - 16.55 Maximising media for your charity
Faye Smith- Keep your Fork
Faye is MD of city communications consultancy, Keep Your Fork Marketing & PR. Who have won 13 awards for their work to support small businesses and charities including a Guardian innovation award. Faye is an expert at emotional storytelling to connect You and your organisation with the media in a powerful, results-focused way. Faye is also currently the director of communications at City Hearts, the national anti-trafficking charity headquartered in Sheffield and created the award-winning Sheffield Media Hub, a volunteer-led platform to connect the faith sector to the media.

Peter Foyle - South Yorkshire Funding Advice Bureau (SYFAB).
Peter has been involved with SYFAB on an off for over 15 years, and has a wealth of experience in helping groups pick the right funders to approach, and put together a successful bid.

15.20 - 16.05 3D Leadership - Andy
Andy Hanselman consulting.
Andy regularly speaks about leadership and has spent over 27 years researching, working with, and learning from successful fast growth business leaders. Locally he has worked with Burton Street Foundation, Weston Park Cancer Charity and Rotherham Hospice as well as being a Trustee of The Really Neet College.

16.10 - 16.55 How to recruit the right people
Louisa from Benchmark recruitment
Louisa is a talent attraction and retention specialist, MD of recruitment firm Benchmark, Chair of Council at Sheffield Chamber of Commerce and Regional advisory board chair for leadership development charity Common Purpose. Louisa is also a Trustee at St Lukes Hospice and on the SBT steering group.

We have some great speakers lined up but we will also have stalls with businesses offering pro-bono help and support from Voluntary Action Sheffield (VAS) development team and funding advice from South Yorkshire Funding Advice Bureau (SYFAB).

Attendance at the masterclass sessions will be on a first come first served basis on the day. Please register now and forward through your networks.
