Preventing a lost generation - ADHD in girls
Old Sharrow Junior School, Sheffield

£12.50 + £1.25 fee
An introductory training session to increase awareness of ADHD in girls.
Boys are diagnosed with ADHD more often than girls, at a ratio of approximately 4:1 in the UK. However ADHD often presents differently in girls, meaning they are all too often misdiagnosed or overlooked. This causes many issues that often remain with the girls into adulthood. The session is suitable for everyone, and is specifically aimed at people working with girls and young women in a paid or voluntary capacity, including those training to work with young people in sectors such as education, youth work, social care and mental health services as well as parents and carers. However everyone with an interest in learning more is welcome.
