Sohrab Ahmari’s book considers how contemporary art is obsessed with the politics of identity. He argues that the degree of politicisation means that art no longer performs its historical function, as a mirror and repository of the human spirit – something that should alarm both art lovers and liberals alike. Sohrab Ahmari is Senior Writer at Commentary magazine in New York and a consulting editor of the Catholic Herald.
