TSARZI - album launch
Yellow Arch Studios, Sheffield
Friday, 14 Sep 2018, 8:00pm - Saturday, 15 Sep 2018, 12:00am
Last Decade of Love is the debut album from Sheffield singer-songwriter TSARZI. Quirky, catchy and always unpredictable, her unique style of eccentric pop has been compared to artists from Regina Spektor to Kate Bush.
The album is the culmination of four years making music in Sheffield with many wonderful different artists and collaborators. In many ways it is a love letter to the city that made it possible.

Join us at the beautiful Yellow Arch Studios for a celebration with all the stops pulled out. Expect songs about ornaments, crosswords and the end of the world. And possibly party hats.

TSARZI is the solo project of multi-instrumentalist Sarah Sharp. Since arriving in Sheffield in 2014 she played in a range of collaborations from folk to synth-pop, including turns with psych-synth merchants Mysteron and funeral party extravaganza The Unsung.
She won the 2017 The South Yorkshire Filmmakers' Network Weeks2MakeIt Grand Jury prize for her music video Ornaments, a mix of Andy Warhol and Coronation Street (with hammers).
I Set The Sea On Fire are the 5 piece alternative funk rock outfit from Sheffield trying to fit 3 part harmony, a trumpet, trombone and flute alongside a full rock band onto the smallest stages possible. Sounds most like an off shore oil rig explosion, but with less screams and more trumpet.
Banjo Jen is Sheffield’s “all-singin’, all-dancin’, badass banjo-pickin’ girl”. Since starting out solo in 2017, she's already making waves on the Americana scene.
Highlights so far have included playing in Austin TX during SXSW 2017, being selected by the Americana Music Association UK to play at Red Rooster festival 2018, and supporting the Everly Pregnant Brothers at the 100 Club in London.
